God's perfect plan...

Okay, some people may think this is just luck, but I think it was God's perfect plan today...It all started with a phone call from mom asking if school was canceled today. I told her that the campus would open at noon and so I would have class this evening. She offered that she and Eddie could take me to school, they were concerned that the roads could get bad when it got cold in the evening. A while later she said that she went to work and the roads were dry and she thought I would be fine. At that time BJ called and asked if I could skip classes because he too was concerned that the roads were going to be bad. So, I called mom back and she said that they would take me (unfortunately the ads for her favorite places weren't good) and would come pick me up at 4:30. Well, I had spent the day cleaning house and for the first time was going to use the front door instead of the office door, and go check the mail. As soon as I got back to the door I realized, it was locked when I went out! It pretty much stays locked but you can turn it from the inside and it doesn't feel locked. I didn't have anything with me except my cell phone and a coat on!!! I called and luckily mom and Eddie were only a few minutes away. I waited outside for them to come to my rescue! We were going to try and get in, but I decided I would just see what we could scrounge together...I wound up with a mini notebook and a few pens. Not exactly prepared for grad school. It all turned out great, we don't take many notes and mom didn't try to give me poisoned crackers for a snack. haha Unfortunately they didn't get to come inside and see all the progress that had been made, until we returned. I am so blessed to have a caring and generous family! It is my opinion, God's perfect plan was that mom and Eddie were going to take me to class tonight, otherwise I would never have made it to school on time!!! Thank you so much for taking me.

  2. I think seeing you standing on your porch freezing was sad, but it was hilarious watching you go in school with a notebook the size of a matchbox!!! I love the song (Amy Grant) Angels Watching Over Me. One line is you never know how many near misses we have each day. Maybe that is why even though I thought the roads would be ok, I still felt we should go. Plus I always have good time with Eddie. (Except comment when we were paying by cashier)
